Welcome! I am Yameng Fan (范雅萌), a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Hong Kong.

I am on the 2026–2027 academic job market.

My fields are macro development, urban/spatial economics, and the Chinese economy.

My research focuses on structural transformation and urban development. I am particularly interested in how land and labor market institutions shape the allocation of land and labor across sectors and locations, and the welfare of rural and urban households.

Here is my CV. You can contact me at fanym96@connect.hku.hk.
